This board supports up to five RFID readers and activates a relay once the chosen number of readers is successfully triggered.
Introducing the Whisper P2, the next generation of our Whisper Board RFID relay controller. Built for our new close-proximity RFID readers and designed to replace the Whisper Original in every application it was used in, the P2 addresses the feedback we heard most: button programming with no master key, readers that mount 0.5 in apart without cross-triggering, and a 5 A relay. It runs on the same 12 V supply and the same 125 kHz tags as the Original, so your existing power, wiring and fobs carry over; the reader header uses a different pin order, so readers moving from an Original are re-pinned rather than plugged straight in.
While primarily designed for RFID readers, the signal pin is also compatible with any 5–12V signal, offering the flexibility to integrate various other sensors.

- Easy Card Programming: A built-in button allows you to program RFID cards without the need for a master key—eliminating the hassle of lost or misplaced keys.
- Close-Proximity Reading: Readers can be placed as little as half an inch apart and still perform reliably, a significant improvement over previous models.
- Shorter Read Range:The new RFID readers have a shorter read range (around half an inch to an inch), but deliver more consistent performance, especially in tight or crowded spaces.
- Improved Mounting & Orientation: With front-to-back read direction and correctly oriented mounting holes, installation is more flexible and secure.
- Enhanced Relay Capacity: The new board includes a power indicator LED and supports up to 5 amps through its relay (compared to 3 amps on the older model).
- Seamless Compatibility: Both old and new readers operate at 12 volts and 125 kHz, allowing for interchangeable tags.

⚠️ Warning: This device does not have reverse polarity protection. If power is connected backwards:

The power LED may still light, and

RFID readers or sensors may still receive power

But the relay will permanently stop functioning.
Always double-check your polarity before powering the board. Improper wiring may result in irreversible damage to the relay circuit and is not covered under warranty.
